Bringing back Da Funk!

Hi everyone,

Just finished another pair of longies and testing some variations out to get a really wide leg. I love these so much and therefore and dubbed them with the honorable name 'Bringing back Da Funk' Longies.

These are knit on Mosaic Moons colorway 'Kirkyard' and the wool used is Marr Haven Rambouillet which is very durable, thick and chunky and gives a wonderful textured look to your garment. I am looking forward to knitting this particular wool up again as it is such a pleasure and turned out so gorgeous. I have a few more customs to knit up in the next week so look forward to some new girly things coming soon!

Woodland in Spring Longies

Just finished these Woodland in Spring longies using the Wooly Wonderpants pattern and I love it. Its a great wide leg fit and knitting both legs at the same time feels like it takes a long time, but suddenly your completely finished, which is amazing.

Enjoy, more to come soon:)

Some of my recent work

Welcome to the wonderful world of Strawberry Bottom Baby

Hi everyone!

My name is Katie Vaino and I am the work at home Mom behind Strawberry Bottom Baby. I have a love of fiber, knitting, and children, which has brought me to this place in my life where I want to share my abilities with other Mothers and their beautiful children.

I am a West Coaster in every way and love to live life as naturally as possible. When I found out I was pregnant with my son Aaron, there was no doubt in my mind I would be a cloth diapering Mama.

Shortly after the birth of my son Aaron I fell in love with wool used for diaper covers and my life changed. I know this may seem silly to people who do not cloth diaper, however the world of cloth diapering is magnificent and full of the most incredible and artistic people. I am constantly amazed at how much love and tenderness goes into the care of our little ones and their little bums.

Please check my blog for updates on my creations and share in this amazing world of fiber with me. I knew having a child would mean an incredible journey, but this is something I would have never expected.

Thank you to all the Mothers out there who have inspired me to create fluff of the bum and to take incredible pride in my abilities.
